Also known as the Gotta Tell Somebody Gal, Twila Belk is a popular speaker and writer with six published books. Her seventh book, The Power to Be: Be Still, Be Grateful, Be Strong, Be Courageous, is scheduled for a January 1 release date through BroadStreet Publishing. She has contributed to several other books and has written numerous articles and promotional materials.
In addition to writing and speaking, she enjoys teaching and keynoting at writers conferences across the nation. She directed the Quad Cities Christian Writers Conference for eight years and a national writers conference for two years. Owning a Christian bookstore, medical transcribing, hosting an online radio program, and being a journeyman machinist and spec writer at the Rock Island Arsenal are all part of her broad background.
Since June of 2007, Twila has worked closely with Cecil Murphey—author of 140 published books, including the bestsellers 90 Minutes in Heaven (with Don Piper) and Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story (with Dr. Ben Carson). Well connected through her work with Murphey, Twila frequently interacts with the media, editors, agents, publishers, conference directors, and other industry professionals.
She has a good amount of experience in the field of publishing and enjoys brainstorming and working with aspiring writers. Now transitioning into the role of The Writer’s Champion, Twila offers coaching, editing, and additional services to those who need help with their next steps.
